Three scientists From Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi have featured in the world ranking of top 2% scientists in India

Three scientists Prof. GPS Raghava, Prof. Ranjan Bose, and Dr. Angshul Majumdar have been featured in the listing of top 2% scientist databases. The subject-wise evaluation has been performed by a group of scientists at Stanford University. Stanford University scientists have created this database of over 100,000 top scientists of the world on the foundation of standardized quotation indicators corresponding to data on citations, H-index, co-authorship, and a composite indicator.

All of these scientists had been labeled into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. For evaluation of the citations and the composite indicators, SCOPUS knowledge supplied by Elsevier was used with knowledge freeze as of May 6, 2020.
 
Prof. GPS Raghava is ranked 192 in the discipline of Bioinformatics with a cite rating of 3.64954989 and 248 papers revealed between 1988 and 2020. Prof. Raghava is an Indian bio-informatician and head of the Department of Computational Biology at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology. Raghava acquired the Young Leader Award in Science & Technology, Lakshmipat Singhania – Indian Institute of Management Lucknow National Leadership awards 2011. He was listed as one of eight extremely cited Indians scientists by Thomson Reuters in 2014. He was awarded NASI-Reliance Industries Platinum Jubilee Awards, 2009 in Biological Sciences Thomson Reuters offered him Research Excellence – India Research Front Awards 2009. He acquired the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2008.
 
Prof. Ranjan Bose is ranked 3230 in the discipline of Networking & Telecommunications with a cite rating of 2.98241346 and 115 publications between 1995 and 2020.  Prof. Bose is the Director of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi). Before becoming a member of IIIT-Delhi he was a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, the place he was the Microsoft Chair Professor.  He is understood for his work in the space of safe communications and the Virtual Labs undertaking. He is a recipient of the Vikram Sarabhai Research Award. He can also be the nationwide coordinator for the Mission Project on Virtual Labs, which allows college students throughout India to carry out simulation-based lab experiments remotely. He has held visitor scientist positions at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, University of Colorado, Boulder, USA, UNIK, Norway, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA. He is the writer of the ebook Information Theory, Coding, and Cryptography (third Ed.).
 
Dr. Angshul Majumdar has been ranked 2088 worldwide in the discipline of Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing with cite rating 3.38853075, with 212 papers revealed between 2007 and 2020. Angshul Majumdar has co-authored greater than 90 journal articles and 100 convention proceedings. He has authored two books – Compressed Sensing for Magnetic Resonance Image Reconstruction, revealed by Cambridge University Press (2015), and Compressed Sensing for Engineers, revealed by CRC Press (2019). He has co-edited two books – Deep Learning in Biometrics and MRI: Physics, Reconstruction and Analysis, each revealed by CRC Press. He has two granted US patents and 6 extra filed. He has been the finance chair of the IEEE ISBA (2017). He has been the Chair of the SPS Chapter’s Committee (Membership board) from 2016-18 and served as the chair of the SPS Educational Committee (2019). Currently, he’s a member-at-large in the SPS Educational Board. He is the affiliate editor for IEEE TCSVT and IEEE OJSP and space editor for IEEE ICASSP and IEEE ICIP.
